Right now, the Second Harvest food assistance network is witnessing record high numbers of requests for food assistance. (This past March, nearly 72,000 area residents sought assistance. 21,124 more people than this time last year.)

Food insecurity is a challenge that impacts us all, squelching the potential of people and our community. Together, we can change that.

Every day, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC helps local families in need of food assistance working with nearly 500 on-the-ground partner programs serving 18 Northwest North Carolina counties. Each time you participate in a Virtual Food Drive, you entrust Second Harvest to direct your gifts to where they are needed most. This includes, but it not limited to, the purchase of food items needed by our partner network members, such as the representative items on this website.
