Each spring, Oakland comes alive with the colors, sounds, and spirit of Cambodia. Join us at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park for the 2026 Oakland Khmer New Year Festival, an all-day, intergenerational celebration honoring Khmer traditions, resilience, and community pride. For one vibrant day, the park transforms into a cultural village filled with music, dance, ceremony, food, art, and joy, welcoming friends and neighbors from across Oakland and the East Bay. Whether you are reconnecting with your heritage or experiencing Khmer New Year for the first time, this is a joyful, welcoming space for all. Bring your family, invite your friends, and come celebrate with us.

- Traditional Monk Blessings & Rituals
- Classical and Folk Dance Performances featuring youth and community groups
- Live Khmer Music and the beloved romvong circle dance, where everyone is invited to join
- Authentic Cambodian Cuisine from local restaurants and community vendors
- “Rhythm of the Refugee” exhibit sharing stories of migration, resilience, and cultural roots
- Traditional New Year Games and family-friendly activities
- Community Resource Fair connecting neighbors with local organizations
