Ten years ago, Farming Hope began with a dream of nourishing community through food and job-training. What started with 5 Apprentices in 2016 has grown to over 60 this year alone, creating more pathways to employment while feeding neighbors across San Francisco.
We’re excited to invite you to our shared table for Feed It Forward, an unforgettable evening featuring dishes from more than a dozen of the best chefs from across the Bay Area, must-have culinary auction experiences, and an after-party worth staying for.

For 10 years, Farming Hope has turned kitchens into classrooms. We give people facing major barriers to employment, including recent homelessness and incarceration, paid hands-on culinary training and a real path to life-sustaining employment. Along the way we serve thousands of meals each week to neighbors facing food insecurity, cooked largely from produce that would otherwise have been thrown away.
What began as an idea at Stanford's d.school has grown into a proven workforce development model that creates economic opportunity while addressing food insecurity and food waste.
Ten years in: more than 200 Apprentices trained, more than $1.3 million in wages earned, and more than 1 million meals cooked.
Join our shared table and feed it forward.
