We’ve got the perfect reason to break a sweat: kids with cancer are still kids.
Join Team One Step to complete the 2024 Life Time Chicago Half Marathon & 5k and raise funds for Camp One Step! You can run or briskly walk a half-marathon, or mosey a 5K with us; because at the end of the day, we are all breaking a sweat to send kids with cancer and their families to Camp One Step. We provide you with a fundraising webpage, coaching, team support, training, and a paid entry. With Team One Step, we know YOU GOT THIS. In exchange, we ask that each runner raise a minimum of $500.
The funds raised by our team support Camp One Step, a camp for children with cancer. As you probably understand, all kids going through a cancer diagnosis lose a sense of being a kid. They spend time in the clinic and hospital when they should be out playing. Camp is a safe place for them to make friendships with others who understand their unique journey, laugh, and just be a kid! Since 1978, Camp One Step has brought happiness, support, strength, and hope to hundreds of campers and their families each year. Our FREE in-person camps and CONNECTED digital programs serve kids with cancer (whether newly diagnosed, in-treatment, or in remission), their siblings, and even their parents. Inclusion, accessibility, connections and empowerment are core to our mission. At Camp One Step, kids make forever friendships, reclaim childhood, and families feel whole again.
