CityTeam Portland's Building Dreams 2025!
You’re invited to CityTeam’s Building Dreams Fundraiser Gala. The night will start with a social hour from 6:00PM before kicking off the main program at 7:00PM.
We will highlight program graduates' stories of renewal and building their personal dreams as well as CityTeam's dream of a new building becoming a reality. This event gives you the opportunity to hear first-hand how we have been able to make a positive impact in Portland and to join with us in bringing about more life transformations.
We look forward to seeing you!

A note from Lance Orton, Executive Director of CityTeam Portland:
At last year’s Framing the Future gala, I shared exciting news about the future of CityTeam and the solution to our aging building on Grand Ave with finding a new building in Old Town Portland. On Friday, June 28, 2024 we officially became the proud new owners of the Overland building! We could not be more excited about acting as a beacon of light in the heart of Portland’s historic Old Town Neighborhood. Our commitment to the revitalization of Portland runs deep and we look forward to being good stewards of that property, and the neighborhood, for years to come.
Now we get to convert this beautiful office building into a residential program center that will provide trauma-informed healing for those who will live here. We’ve been issued a building permit, allowing us to move forward with the office-to-residential conversion. This milestone is particularly meaningful because it reflects the City of Portland’s full support of the project. The city recognizes the importance of creating spaces for those facing homelessness and addiction, contributing to the overall vibrancy of our community. It’s also a testament to how the faith community can work hand-in-hand with partners like the City of Portland to make a real impact. Once renovations are completed, the building will mark a significant increase in capacity — over 100% more — than our current building, which has been at maximum occupancy for the past three years.
By the time you join us for our Building Dreams gala, we will be in the middle of the conversions and are excited to share updates on our progress. This gala will be a catalyst event in elevating our current life-restoring programs, expanding into serving new demographics, and empowering more men and women than ever before!
With Gratitude,
Lance Orton
