At 31 weeks pregnant, I developed preeclampsia/HELLP and delivered my daughter, Sophie, via emergency c-section. I had an 8 day hospital stay while my body fought hard to recover and Sophie spent 25 days in the NICU. We participate in the 140 over 90 run each year to raise awareness about preeclampsia and HELLP as well as raise funds for research and to provide pregnant women with blood pressure cuffs.
