James, who's 3 1/2, experienced his first seizure in early February with our nanny, prompting a 911 call and ambulance ride to UH Rainbow. A second seizure followed about three weeks later, prompting a visit to Peds Neuology, an EEG, a quick MRI, and medication. Another three weeks later, James experienced a prolonged and life threatening seizure prompting an ICU admission, additional medication, and a 24-hour EEG. On 4/5, an MRI under sedation showed normal anatomy (thankfully!) but we may never know the cause of James's epilepsy.
