On Saturday, April 1st 2017 our community will come together to honor the men and women who work tirelessly to make our community a better place for our children. Our local Police Officers and Firefighters are the backbone of our community and we thank them for all they do. As our new name ‘Heroes 5K’ shows these men and women are Heroes in the lives of not only us but our children as well.
This 14th annual event raises funds to assist one of the single most important agencies in Palm Beach County. The Children’s Home Society of Florida provides a variety of programs that focus on child abuse, neglect, prevention and intervention, adoption and adoption support services and through these programs, it mentors and assists more than 21,000 troubled, runaway and homeless children in Palm Beach County annually.
