Diane and I have been involved with Children's Home Society for 25 years, first as volunteers with the Safe Harbor Runaway program, then as foster parents, and now as a member of the Board of Directors.

Why would we commit 25 years to any organization? Because CHS has a laser focus on reaching the most at-risk children in our community.  The staff have proven themselves to be dedicated, compassionate professionals.  And the demand for services continues to grow.  We know that the funds raised by this event are vital to funding our local programs.  Each year we must raise approximately $1M to fully fund the programs we have in place.  This race is just one of the ways we meet our annual fund-raising goal.  

In the end, we rely on the generosity of peple like you, people who recognize that they have been blessed, people who are willing to share the resources they have been given with those who have not been similarly blessed.

So please, join our team, and join us on race day if you can.  Donate whatever amount your heart tells you is right.  Do so knowing that you will impact a child's life.
