In 2016, when I was 19.. I had my first seizure, epilepsy took a lot from me, mainly it feels like I lost all of my independence! Being unable to get myself from place to place without having to ask someone to get there first is really quite frustrating. I’ve spent countless days & nights in the hospital because of bad seizures. Ive also spent nearly 50 days between 2 stays doing monitoring at Toronto Western Hospital, one of those stays I had 14 probes put directly into my brain in which I was dropped off my meds and waited for a seizure to happen, i spent 30 days in the hospital that time to only have 1 seizure. That info gave them enough information to do a craniotomy and they removed 8 grams from my right temporal lobe. Unfortunately it did not fix my seizures. Life’s been hard
