This October, I am walking, hiking, and biking 100 kms in honour of my dad. October 3rd would have been his 67th birthday. My dad loved nothing more than getting out for a cycle on a beautiful day, canoeing on one Ontario’s great lakes, and going for a hike with a loved one. For his birthday month, I am doing what he loved most, to support epilepsy research. 1 in 100 Canadians have epilepsy, my dad was one of them. There is still no curative treatment, and many people, like my dad, have treatment resistant epilepsy.
