Sheltering animals isn’t easy. There are good days and there are bad days.
You try your best to approach every animal as an individual.
You make decisions with an open heart and optimism. The only challenge, resources. Resources are always the ultimate guide in the room.
Are there enough resources to adequately provide for the animal we are trying to save? If rehab takes 6 weeks, do we have the resources? If surgery is needed can we afford it? Can we offer relief to a family in need to keep their pet? Can we afford another spay day? Can we afford another late night sick visit? These are all questions we ask ourselves daily.
That is why I started this fundraising page. I would like to take the resource question out of the equation when it comes to making lifesaving decisions. Do we have the resource of space? Yes! Do we have the resource of food? Yes! Do we have the resource of excellent medical care? Yes! Do we have enough staff and volunteers to take care of this animal? Yes!
