Here's our story...

At my 16 week appointment I was excited and expecting to find out if my sweet baby was going to be a boy or a girl.  After the ultrasound, we were asked to have a seat in the waiting room and that my doctor was just going to be a few minutes.  An hour later we were called back.  They had seen cysts on HIS little brain, and something wrong with his heart.  We were referred to the U of M and met with the genetic counselor, and a team of AMAZING doctors and specialists the next day.  

We soon had a diagnosis of Trisomy 18 - a rare chromosomal abnormality that is considered "incompatible with life".  We were presented with a few different options as to how we could move forward, but for me, the right decison was to carry my son as long as possible.  To cherish every moment and kick, knowing that it probably won't go full term.  

On February 1st, I was induced at 33 1/2 weeks at the U of M.  Harrison Samuel Bock survived delivery and was born just before midnight.  He fought for almost 11 hours before making his way up to Heaven.  We miss him every minute of every day, and I am so blessed to have been able to hold him in my arms for the time I did!
