Here's our story...

On December 13, 2010, I didn't feel well, something just didn't seem right.  I called my Dr. and they told me to come in and they would take a look.  Only to discover that Lucy didn't have a heart beat anymore.  At 36 weeks gestation, Lucretiata Rose was born a week late on December 21, 2010.  This was the worst day of my life!  I had to deliver my little girl and leave the hospital empty handed.  This was just the start of the roller coaster of grief.  Each day and week seemed like it was never going to end.  I don't know how, but with the support of my amazing family and friends, I found a way to put one foot in front of the other until I found Missing Grace.  It took me 9 months to find Missing Grace after I lost Lucy.  Every day seemed like it was never going to end and I was not a nice person to those around me.  The first time I walked up to the Hope and Hearts walk, it took my breath away.  It was the biggest change for me in taking the steps into a direction that it has brought me to today.

Here's why we are raising funds...

Each year, we raise funds to help our family and friends and also those we don't know.  We like to help share what Missing Grace has to offer for those who are struggling with pregnancy, infant loss, infertility struggles and child loss in general.  These at one point in time were such a Tabbu subject and now with the help of Missing Grace and through fundraising, this helps me to reach out to those that I had no idea existed.  This helps me to reach out to others and help them to understand they are not alone when they feel like they are in their darkest places.
