Jane, Jeremy, Ella & Henry are participating in the Hope & Hearts run on September 15th in memory of our son, Anton William, that we lost 10 years ago.

Our story and why we support the cause:
In September 2008, our family experienced the loss of our son, Anton William, who was stillborn.

We had just been in for our ultrasound and everything was looking great. Two days later I was feeling really tired, but just attributed it to having spent the prior day on my feet. I slept for a good portion of the afternoon and when I finally decided to get out of bed I knew something was wrong, as I felt incredibly weak.  I stood up and my water broke. The next 24 hours were the toughest of our lives. We held Anton in our arms, and then had to say goodbye.

Although it was the hardest thing any of us had ever experienced, we have learned so much from it and know just how blessed we are to have Ella Ruth and since then, Henry in our lives. The love and support of our family and friends is what got us through it. Although our time with Anton was short, we feel blessed to have held him in our arms.

We are running in memory of Anton William, as well as to raise money for research, prevention and support for those that have experienced a stillborn birth.
