Event Description

On June 8, 2019 a crew of triathletes will compete with athletes of all abilities in Tuxedo Brothers' Sprint Triathlon at Eagle Creek State Park.  Sean Edwards will once again compete with Joseph Maley Fitness athlete Kiara Lee in all three legs of the triathlon, while Bob Recinto, Mary Snyder, and Marc Fella will compete in a relay with a second Joseph Maley Fitness athlete. These crews are launching JMF's new "tri2gether" initiative and will compete in the 500-meter swim, 10-mile bike, and 3-mile run at each event while towing, pulling, and pushing athletes with disabilities.

To celebrate their efforts, increase opportunities for more athletes of all abilities to participate in triathlons throughout central Indiana, and purchase critical equipment (i.e. life jackets, rafts, tow ropes, hitches for the bikes, specialized racing wheelchairs), Sean, Bob, Marc, and Mary request donations be made to the Joseph Maley Foundation (JMF).  Supporters can make their donation directly through this platform.

JMF is an Indianapolis nonprofit organization, established in 2008 with the mission, "serving children of all abilities."  You can find out more about the Joseph Maley Foundation's history and programs on their website: www.josephmaley.org.

All donations made to the Joseph Maley Foundation in honor of the Joseph Maley Fitness "tri2gether" initiative are fully tax deductible.  The Joseph Maley Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable corporation: federal tax ID 26-3153750.

If you have questions about the Joseph Maley Foundation or your donation, please contact Maggie - maggie.mestrich@josephmaley.org, 317-432-6546.
