We hope to help further the important work this organization does for grieving families. I do this walk every year in honor of my Sweet Angel Baby Lucretia (Lucy) Rose. Lucy was stillborne on 12/21/10. After not feeling well, I went to the Dr. only to be told they could not find her heart beat at 36 weeks gestation. After delivering her and going through some severe depression, a friend of mine asked me if she could walk the Hope and Heart walk in honor of Lucy. Walking up for the very first time was overwhelming and amazing all at the same time. We weren't really sure what Missing Grace was about yet, but after meeting some amazing women and families, I realized, I am not the only person going through this painful process and there is so many others out there like me. On that cold and Rainy September day with about 15 other ladies in my life walking by my side every step of the way, I realized, I was not going to let someone else feel the way I did at that time and I was going to do what I could to spread the word about Missing Grace and to help those who were not yet ready to talk to someone in a group, I vowed to promise I would be there at any day or night. Since then I have helped multiple families who still reach out to me and thank me and remind me what an amazing thing Missing Grace is and how amazing and strong I am to share my story. It still brings tears to my eyes every time I talk about Lucy and it breaks my heart all over again when I hear about another family going through this process that really is so terrible there isn't a name for it, but I remind myself, that I once was in that other person's shoes and I want to be there to help while I can. I now have my angel baby whom is 2 and also another baby on the way, both are healthy. Each pregnancy is scary every step of the way, but I put it in God's hands and hope for the best.
