If you ask Jacob about his Autism, he will tell you that it is his biggest strength and biggest challenge. He says he sees the world differently. This gives him a quirky sense of humor, but he also says makes him feel different that other kids.
We have been a Fraser family since he was three. At age 9, he had graduated all of his therapies, but now he requested to go back at Fraser. He is hoping to help learn about his autism and to gain social skills and understanding.
During a rough patch, Fraser provided scholarships for me to attend their workshops so that I could get the support I needed. I would love to be able to give back and provide that opportuntiy to other struggling families.
Jacob and I will be doing the walk on April 16. It is a loop around MOA with activities for the kids. He is most excited to see all of the other kids with autism. Please feel free to join us or donate a few dollars.
