Oliver was in terrible shape when he first arrived at the Brandywine Valley SPCA. He couldn’t walk, had to be carried everywhere, had kennel cough, pneumonia and worms and the list goes on. Enter Tara, an amazing BVSPCA volunteer, who took Oliver into her home as a foster. He lived in her heated garage receiving antibiotics, ear drops and nebulizer treatments twice a day. She carried him outside to go to the bathroom for four weeks starting at 4:30 am throughout the day and night until he was strong enough to walk on his own. Three months later after tons of TLC, Oliver is not only healthy, but he’s beyond happy to have been chose by Tara’s family for a forever home!
Oliver is this year’s Walk for Paws mascot and will be leading the Walk! If you are unable to attend the Walk or moved by his love story, please support Oliver. A gift of even five dollars will help the BVSPCA save more dogs & cats like Oliver.

I saw Oliver when he arrived. It's wonderful to see how he is thriving after such a rough start. Tara worked tirelessly and gave him the care and love he needed to heal. Oliver hit the jackpot finding Tara and being adopted into her family!
