On Saturday, October 24th, 2020 (NH) and Sunday, October 18th, 2020 (DC), thousands of runners globally will turn out to Run for Jim. Runners from all over the world will once again participate in this one of a kind road race to support the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, in remembrance of Jim, a native of New Hampshire, and all Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms.
Now in its sixth year, The Foley Freedom Run consists of a traditional 5K Run/Walk held in both Rochester, NH, and in Washington, DC, as well as a “Virtual” Run/Walk, held all over the world! The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation invites you to share in Jim’s legacy and our mission: To advocate for the freedom of all Americans held hostage abroad and promote the safety of journalists worldwide.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19:
In the event that we cannot join together to celebrate due to restrictions and guidelines put in place as a result of Covid-19, the 2020 James W. Foley Freedom Run will endure as an official virtual run. As we get closer to the event date, The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, along with our run committees, will decide and announce any and all changes regarding official run locations and gatherings. The safety and health of our participants, donors and sponsors is of the utmost importance. Click HERE to view our Virtual Team Captain Toolkit.
Americans held abroad and journalists around the world are at greater risk due to COVID-19.
We will not stop advocating for their safety.
