My Personal Fundraising Page

The Joseph Maley Foundation serves children of all abilities through programs that engender compassion and respect for the diversity of life. The Junior Board supports this mission through leadership opportunities for high school students who value unconditional acceptance and service. Junior Board members participate in leadership programs, direct service to children through the Joseph Maley Foundation and other non-profit organizations, and fundraising.

The Junior Board helps kids of all abilities. We work to help kids play sports like we would enjoy all things in life. For those families who can’t afford the wheelchair and for those kids who want to play but can’t. If you even donate a dollar you could help these kids. The Starbucks you get every day, instead, give that 5 dollars to help a kid. That gum you buy at the gas station for 2 dollars, instead, give that 2 dollars to help a kid. That snack you buy every day, instead, give that money to help a kid. Especially during this unprecedented time, these kid's families need the money now more than ever. The Joseph Maley Foundation offers events like the Run, Walk, Roll which is a marathon, and Butterfly Tea which helps these children of all abilities. All proceeds raised through this fundraising event will go towards the Joseph Maley Foundation to help serve children of ALL abilities. 100% of your donations will go to help kids. Recently the Joseph Maley Foundation had come to my school and we took on the disabilities. We took on Mobility and Physical Impairments, Vision Disabilities, Hearing Disabilities and many more to see how it is. It was very eye-opening to see how much we can do. Looking at my classmates not being able to go up the stairs to a place they want to go or falling because of lack of support. I genuinely like spending time with little kids and people my age of all abilities. I am a very compassionate person when it comes to caring for kids and, I thought I would be a good fit for this cause in helping these kids. Millions of thoughts popped into my head. I decided to do some research. I learned about all the rights people with disabilities have and even should have. I learned about information from the Disability Discrimination Act to things like the Fair Housing Act a landlord with a "no pets" policy may be required to grant an exception to this rule and allow an individual who is blind to keep a guide dog in the residence. I realized how people with a disability were less likely to work in management, professional, and related occupations than those without a disability. The troubles people with a disability go through is unreal. So please join me in helping a person of all abilities.
