Most people look forward to the day they get that positive test.   Then the day they find out if it's a boy or a girl.  Decorating the nursery,  nesting the home as they eagerly await a bundle of joy.

My path took a different route.  Life never afforded me an opportunity to conceived and prepare.  My intro to parenting began with a late night phone call that a little girle was being transported from Minnesota and needed a place to stay.  Would I help for just a week.  That week turned into 1.5 years and transformed my life and my heart.

While we had typical ups and downs I was on a journey to loving like I never have before.   Growing in patience, grace, consistency,  planning, so many life skills all to provide for a minimally ill child who just needed someone to care enough to provide her basic needs and ensure her health was stable.  

She's beautiful 9 yr old young lady today and we've had continued opportunities to share each other's world's.   Grateful for how she changed my life and having an opportunity to plant some seeds in hers.
