2021 Champions Fore Charity

Hello Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

Welcome to my page! As you may know, I have worked for Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA) for the past 4 years. I'm proud to work for CIS and i'm grateful you are taking time to learn more about our efforts.

If you don’t know much about CIS we work with students in over 100 schools across 12 school districts in San Antonio to support them and help them overcome any barriers to success. Whether it’s through academic support, help with attendance, assistance with basic needs, or mental health services and counseling, we are working hard to make sure the next generation is prepared to succeed and change the world.

We are currently raising money through the Champions Fore Charity fundraiser which will help us continue serving students and families in need. Please consider donating and helping us with this agency-wide fundraiser. I hope you will join me in becoming a Champion fore Kids!

Here are some of the services I have provided during the 4 years at CIS - San Antonio.

Christmas Stockings: With the help of Mr. Kris Gaytàn’s colleagues, family, and friends, CIS staff provided 129 Christmas stockings to students enrolled in Communities in School of San Antonio.
Emergency Closet: CIS staff worked with school nurse and provided emergency clothing to students in need. Student received basic needs from CIS staff in effects to prevent student early pick up.
Around the World group: Student will learn regarding cultures and the traditions and beliefs that people practice in their daily lives. Also, to encourage cultural awareness and experimentation with food. As students engage in this feast, the CIS will facilitate a discussion where each dish originated.
CIS Christmas Party: CIS Student attended Christmas party and made arts and crafts while enjoying light snacks.
Foto y Recuerdos (Pictures and Memories): Student received picture and frame of past events with CIS
Realtor Donation: Eugen Morales from High Point Reality donated a total of 12 Converse to Kindred students, a value of $408.
Attendance incentive (goodie bags): Student received goodie bag for coming to school. Student was spoken to regarding the importance of coming to school everyday.

McNay Field Trip
Homework Completion Incentive (ice cream sandwich)
Fiesta Cascarones art activity

Guess who won the 2021 Valero Texas Open Champion will be for a change to win a Stay & Play Gift Package to TPC San Antonio and the JW Marriott San Antonio Country Resort & Spa. Participating donors who have provided an email address will receive an email from tournament officials after the player field is announced on Friday, March 26th. Donors will have until Wednesday, March 31 to select from the player field who they believe will win the tournament.

The winner will be drawn from those who correctly guessed the tournament champion and receive the grand prize along with earning the beneftitting charity a donation of $5,000. If more than one person correctly guesses, a drawing amongst those who guessed correctly will be conducted. If no one correctly guesses, a drawing among all donors will take place.

Stay & Play Package includes:

Three (3) night stay at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa
Breakfast for two (2) each morning)
Two (2) rounds of golf for two at TPC San Antonio
Spa service for two (2)

* The golf rounds or spa services may be traded for dinner for two (2) in 18 Oaks Steak House
