In 2005, after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer, Kathy Weidenbach passed away. Five years later her daughter, Kristi, founded Kathy’s Friends in loving memory of her mother. Kristi started Kathy’s Friends as a way to gather family and friends to remember Kathy, celebrate her life, and to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and research. It is now a Cheyenne staple and held every year in October.
