2022 Building Tomorrows Run/Walk

10:30 a.m. - Walk Kicks Off
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Entertainment & Activities (including a 45-minute magic show with Ringling Bros. magician Kevin Carr, Chef It Up cooking demonstrations, interactive bubble stations, and more!)

The Building Tomorrows 5K Race features a traffic-free, flat course that includes a double loop around the waterfront. Other features include:

Race t-shirt (guaranteed to runners who register by March 25)

Post-race refreshments, entertainment, and activities

Awards Catagories:

14 & Under through 75 & Older: 10-year increments
1, 2, 3 overall, male and female
1, 2, 3 age groups, male and female

$25 early-bird registration with code EARLY before March 1
$30 runner fee after March 1

Our strength is powered by the commitment of individuals like you. Start a team, join a team, or come on your own to walk the beautiful waterfront loop at the South Mountain Recreation Complex. Walk and fundraise together to enhance the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and support The Arc of Essex County.

Individual walkers and teams are strongly encouraged to fundraise. Create a team and share why this cause means so much to you when you ask your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and classmates to support you.

Following the run and walk, stay, play, and enjoy mainstage activities from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Activities include cooking demonstrations with Chef It Up, interactive bubble stations, a 45-minute magic show by Ringling Bros. magician Kevin Carr, and more!

Free for children 5 years old and under
$5 for non-run/walk participants
