This winter, I will be participating in the 2022 Holiday Appeal to benefit Emotions Matter.

What is BPD?  Up to 6% of Americans suffer from borderline personality disorder (BPD), a serious mental illness characterized by emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, depression and suicidality.  Thankfully, with proper treatment and community support, individuals with BPD experience meaningful, productive lives.  

Why I care?  Millions of Americans struggle without access to expensive BPD treatments often not covered by health insurance.  BPD continues to be the most stigmatized mental illness, due to lack of public awareness and clinical education.  

What the funds are for? Funds raised from the appeal will support Emotions Matter’s innovative peer support group programs, workshops, panels, educational resources and advocacy efforts in 2023.

How you can help? When I thought about people who would be willing to help, I thought of you. Would you be willing to donate and help me reach my fundraising goal?
