I would like to share with you a story of hope and how I became a Target Team Member. My Target story is one of inclusion and acceptances.

When the pandemic happened businesses and people were affected everywhere. I sat at home crying about being laid off from my job and needing a schedule. I wanted and needed to work. I like to shop at Target, so I thought, “you know that would be a good place to work”. That’s when all on my own I updated my resume and sent my application in. I didn’t need my mom’s help this time. She wasn’t included in my interview either like she was in the past.

Within 45 minutes into the interview, I felt like I had to be honest  and shared that I have autism, they said “thanks for sharing”. Welcome to Target. I immediately felt appreciated and accepted.

My Target family is amazing. They believe in me, support me, and value my talents. Target has helped make my dreams come true. Employment, acceptance, understanding, and making our books global.
