I am walking to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Project, a life-changing local resource for families grappling with dementia. This organization provides its services free of charge to any family faced with this disease. I have learned so much from their educational classes, caregiver support tools, and community outreach - none of which would be possible without funding. I am fortunate to have some prior exposure and therefore an idea of what to expect from this disease and the toll it will take. For so many, caring for their loved one is their first exposure the slow and insidious way that Alzheimer's changes all the rules. The Alzheimer's Project is a VITAL resource to helping families through this transition!
