Help brighten the holiday season for local seniors in need!
VISTE clients range in age from 70-106 and often have no family nearby. Most of our clients live on small fixed incomes, and many live alone. A visit from a friendly VISTE volunteer who delivers holiday meals and personal care boxes may be the only holiday our clients celebrate.
You can help! There are two ways to share holiday smiles along with much-needed items for local seniors!
A gift of $15 will provide a VISTE client with a hot Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings, a beautiful live poinsettia, artwork by local schoolchildren, and other treats. Caring volunteers will deliver the meals - and a smile - and take time to visit. This year 2,000 local seniors will receive Thanksgiving meals!
A gift of $25 will provide VISTE clients with an essential care box filled to the brim with personal care and household items. Volunteers deliver the boxes to 400 of our most financially-vulnerable elderly clients, including clients who are military veterans. The boxes contain everyday items that most of us take for granted but will make a HUGE difference to a senior in need.
