Wheelchair Rugby has become a huge passion for me ever since being introduced to it in 2015. The Northeast Passage Wildcats took me in as one of their own and we have developed and grown as a team 10 fold. Each year we made more and more progress to our goal of making it to Nationals. After a 2 year stint with COVID we returned to league play. During those 2 years we didn't "take our foot off the gas" we spent countless hours bettering ourselves. I can't tell you how many late night solo traning sessions, early morning outdoor practices or long drives to link up for a secluded workout I have done. All of the hard work did eventually pay off as we beat the Las Vegas High Rollers by 17 tries in the D2 National Champioship Game.
I am very lucky and priveledged to be sponsored by a team that covers tournament fees, lodging, our home tournament, coaching, equipment and so much more. NEP is funded by generous donations from people of all walks of life.
NEP has helped light the fire in my soul to do more with rugby and I have been lucky enough to have been invited to multiple Development Camps at Lakeshore Foundations Olympic and Paralympic Facility to learn from and train with Team USA elites. I will be going back to Lakeshore in the middle of November to tryout for a spot on the National Teams Development Team.
Your donations directly impact how many away touraments the team is able to travel to. The more tournaments we go to the better we get as individuals and the better we get as a team. The better I get as an individual increases my chances of fullfilling my dreams to make Team USA.
