About Me
In a recent email from one of NEP's amazing volunteers, he introduced me as, "Danny Santos - Program Support Assistant, face of sled hockey" to his peers. Needless to say, reading that made me smile.
Sled hockey has been an incredibly big part of my life for over twenty years. It's sort of mind-blowing to actually consider that figure. Over two decades of slipping into a sled for practices, traveling for games, cackling with teammates, learning from coaches, making new friends, spreading awareness, watching Team USA win gold, etc. I still remember the very first time I tried sled hockey with the Long Island Roughriders. My childhood best friend, Dylan, got me to check out a practice at an outdoor rink in Massapequa and the rest is history!
I will forever be grateful that Northeast Passage gave me the opportunity to attend the University of New Hampshire as a student athlete for the sport of sled hockey. The culture of Northeast Passage is unlike any other. I am so thankful for the memories I have made and all of the incredible people I have gotten to know. I often think of how lucky I am to have been able to grow from that young freshman on campus to now being a full-time employee at NEP.
By donating to Northeast Passage, you are directly helping grow our Wildcats Sled Hockey program. We are constantly striving to offer more for our current athletes and to recuit new athletes. It opens so many doors for both athletes and their families. Sled hockey is truly life changing and the sky is the limit!
