View All Event BadgesI am participating because . . .
I registered for the Pink 13.1 because I want to make a real difference in the fight against breast cancer. I am doing so in memory of my grandmother, Dorothy Tate, and many relatives and dear friends who have battled breast cancer. I have committed to walking, running or biking 13.1 miles on October 22, 2022 in Abingdon and raising a minimum of $300. I need your help to do it! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support allows VBCF to provide Virginians knowledge and a voice in the fight against breast cancer. The money we raise through the Pink 13.1 is used to provide funding for screening and diagnostic breast health services for uninsured and underinsured in SWVA, individualized resource coordination, free breast health educational materials; newly diagnosed, caregiver, and survivorship packets and advocacy for improved health public policy and research dollars for the state. 100% of funds raised remain in Virginia to help Virginians.
