I registered for the Pink 13.1 because I want to make a real difference in the fight against breast cancer. I am doing so in memory of my grandmother, Dorothy Tate, and many relatives and dear friends who have battled breast cancer. The money we raise through the Pink 13.1 is used to provide funding for screening and diagnostic breast health services for uninsured and underinsured in SWVA, individualized resource coordination, free breast health educational materials; newly diagnosed, caregiver, and survivorship packets and advocacy for improved health public policy and research dollars for the state. 100% of funds raised remain in Virginia to help Virginians.
