My Personal Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my 2022 Promise Walk for Preeclampsia fundraising page. I am grateful for your donations and for your help in spreading the word about preeclampsia. My goal is to help our community raise funds and awareness and save the lives of moms and babies! Please make a donation to support our efforts to fund education and research into this life-threatening disorder of pregnancy.

Our Story

A routine OB appointment lead to being diagnosed with Preeclampsia with severe features and admitted to the hospital for bed rest at 30 weeks and 4 days. At 31 weeks gestation, our son Logan was delivered via emergeny c-section. Logan weighed only 2lbs 8oz and spent 72 days in the NICU at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. I myself suffered from complications after delivery including continued elevated blood pressure of 180/110 that resulted in being re-admitted only 5 days after delivery.

Preeclampsia changed the final months of my pregnancy and altered the vision we had for the early days, weeks, and months with our son. Today Logan is a happy and healthy 2 1/2 year old that loves his Taggie, Blippi, and playing outside. We are grateful each and every day for our little boy and that we had the resources available to see us through such a difficult time. Preeclampsia is such a sneaky and frightening disease that impacts far too many people. My hope is that through continued research, no mother needs to feel the helplessness that I experienced knowing my son would spend extensive time in the NICU. Or the grief and guilt of leaving my baby at the hospital when I was released.

Please consider donating to this cause that is so near to my heart.
