Why I skate!
My girls (Abby, Kate, and Brynne) are skating for Angels of America's Fallen. I have done this for over 10 years now! They help provide healthy activities for children of our fallen so they can pursue a passion of their choice with a coach or instructor who can mentor them. When Angels provides the activities to the children, they commit to sticking with them from the time they sign up all the way until they are 18 years old.
Because the child’s parent volunteered to serve, and gave all while doing so, they deserve support throughout the entire time they are growing up without them. I've been blessed to be able to see the results of Angels' influence and position in these families. Help us so they can reach even more families this year!
About Angels of America’s Fallen:
Honoring our Fallen by Supporting the Dreams of Their Children
Angels encourages and supports healthy developmental activities for the children of fallen firefighters, military, and law enforcement. Angels empowers children of the Fallen to participate in healing developmental activities such as sports, music, and other arts as positive outlets for their grief from the time of loss until they reach adulthood. By pairing children of the Fallen with mentors and engaging them in activities, the Angels are more connected to their schools and communities, have healthy alternatives to drugs and alcohol and increase resilience which decreases the risk of suicide.
