Hello friends and family! This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to join with JOY International on a fight against human trafficking! As some of you may know, I have a huge heart to reach and bless the least of these, those Jesus has called us to serve in love. I have decided to join with JOY International this summer because that is their main focus; serving the least of these.
My team will be traveling to Belize for 10 days to share the love of Jesus by meeting tangible needs. We will do this by educating and equipping youth and high-risk teens in Belize. Sexual abuse and trauma are extremely common in Belize, so our camp will focus on body-positivity, identity within Christ, personal boundaries, appropriate contact, how to respond and report abuse, all in a loving and safe environment. We will also be doing some encouraging teaching and training with survivors of Human Trafficking.
We seek to fight the darkness by bringing light and love, and by being the hands and feed of Jesus! I need to raise $2,500 to cover the costs of this trip.
