Hello all! This spring, I will be joining with JOY International in the fight against human trafficking!

   As some of you may know, the worldwide issue of human trafficking has been on my heart for many years now.  Two years ago, I had the great opportunity to serve on JOY International's first short-term missions trip to Belize.   That was a life-changing experience for me, and when I received the invitation to be a part of this year's service team, I was thrilled!    

     Many of you supported me on the 2021 mission trip - through financial donations and through prayer.    I cannot tell you all how much I appreciate all the help and support that enabled myself and my fellow team members to serve!   JOY International has been working in countries around the world for the Rescue, Restoration, Rehabilitation of victims of trafficking, as well as the Prevention of trafficking through awareness training programs and relief work.

       This year, my team will be traveling to Belize for 8 days to share the love of Jesus and assist in educating and equipping youths in at risk communities.   Most of our time will be spent working with children and teens in the Belmopan area. Sexual abuse and trauma are extremely common in Belize, so our work will focus on  identity, God's design for healthy relationships, personal boundaries, appropriate contact, how to respond and report abuse, and human trafficking awareness - all in a loving and safe environment. 

      We seek to fight the darkness by bringing light and love, and battle trafficking by working with communities on a foundational level to bring awareness and help to those at risk.   

.    My goal is to raise $2500, which will cover my airfare, lodging, and all other trip expenses, as well as ministry expenses.

      I will always appreciate those who have invested their lives into bringing hope and resue to those caught in this modern form of slavery.    On my first trip with JOY, I had the great privilege of meeting several such individuals, and I found the experience to be both incredibly challenging and deeply inspiring.    I look forward to the opportunity this year to serve with JOY International in the work that they do best - bringing the Love of God, and True Freedom, to those in captivity.
