My Fundraising Page
Hello Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
Welcome to my page! As you may know, I currently serve as a Site Coordinator for Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA) for the past 2 years. I'm proud to work for CIS-SA, and I'm grateful you're taking the time to learn more about our efforts.
At CIS-SA, we support students in over 160 schools across 13 school districts in San Antonio and the surrounding areas to help them overcome barriers to success. Whether it’s through academic support, assistance with basic needs, or mental health services and counseling, we are working hard to make sure the next generation is prepared to succeed and change the world.
Check out my page to learn more about the different activities and services I provide to students.
We are currently raising money through the Champions Fore Charity fundraiser, which will help us continue serving students and families in need. Please consider donating and helping us with this agency-wide fundraiser. I hope you will join me in becoming a Champion fore Kids!
Thanks for your help in reaching my fundraising goal and being a part of our community of support!

Read Across America
This school year I have been able to bring so many community organizations to my campus. March 2nd was "Read Across America," I was able to partner with Firstmark Credit Union and bring members from their staff to read to our PK-2nd graders. I was able to have a few more guest readers, which allowed us to include 3rd grade as well. We were able to focus on literacy and have so much fun doing it! With your support I hope to be able to do this again next year!
Social Skills Group
I have been able to work with my students this semester in groups and focus on kindness, greetings, giving your full attention, having a growth mindset, and other social skills. Here one of my students is creating a donut for group activity titled, "Sprinkle Kindness."
Boxes of Blessing
This school year I was able to reach out to a local community organization, Redeemer Presbyterian Church who donated so many boxes of food for our families! These two gentlemen delivered the boxes to our school, and we were able to distribute to over 60 families!
Thanksgiving
This year CIS was able to receive donations from Soul Harvest Church and our District 1 Office to support families by putting together a full Thanksgiving meal! In total CIS and our student organization as well as other partners were able to help over 100 families with Thanksgiving meals.
I Pledge to be Drug and Bully Free!
CIS invited Mr. Epi Quiroga to speak to our middle school students. Mr. Quiroga shared his brother's story which was both heartbreaking and uplifting as it allowed Mr. Quiroga to create the work he does today. Our students stood in unison to take the pledge to be "Drug and Bully Free!"
Signing the Pledge
CIS was aided by Mr. Michael Canela Sr. who has played a role in contributing some of his art work to the West Side community in San Antonio. Mr. Canela created a banner for our students to sign stating that they would remain drug and bully free!
