I am participating in Emily's Memorial Horse Show in support of CASA Mental Health. All funds raised through this event will support the CASA House Program. CASA House is a live-in program for teens age 13-17 who need support with significant mental health and/or addiction challenges.

Supporting mental health programs is extremely important to not only me but my entire family. Mental illness has touched my life in many different ways. My grandmother struggled significantly with depression and bipolar disorder. Two years ago she ended her struggle with suicide, this significant event has caused many changes within my family. If programs such as CASA would have been available to her in her early years perhaps the outcome of her battle may have been significantly different. As such, this event and these services are absolutely essential.

About CASA Mental Health

CASA is an established non-profit organization delivering mental health services to Albertans aged three to 18 and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital.

CASA Mental Health’s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners and offering hope to children, youth and families throughout Alberta. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.
