This year, I am remembering Mark Antell, a longtime and valued member of the HACA community who passed away in March 2023. Mark served on the HACA board for many years during my tenure as chapter administrator and as executive director. Mark was a tireless advocate for the bleeding disorders community even as he faced many health challenges of his own - and he always made a point to attend the HACA Walk! The photo I'm using as my avatar was Mark at one of our earlier walks at the Lincoln Memorial! Mark's last HACA event was our Chapter Education Day, which he attended just days before his untimely passing. I know that I am a better bleeding disorders advocate for having known Mark.
