Our team, The B's Knees, is excited to walk again to raise funds to support the Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area. We look forward to assist in raising funds to support the bleeding disorders community in the National Capital area. HACA has provided many years of support, advocacy and education to our family.
This year we will walk to honor our dear friend Mark Antell, whom the community lost several months ago. Even though he had hemophilia A and our family is affected by hemophilia B, I always joked with him that he was an honorary B because he walked with our team every year. He was a wonderful advocate in our community who fought for access to care and specifically hepatitis treatments for many in our community who were affected with this complication. He attended many chapters events over the years and we will miss our conversations with this wonderful and memorable member of our community.
