Wilderness Warrior

Thank you our 2023 Julie Valentine Center Luncheon Speaker, Jessie Krebs.

As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Jessie has turned her pain into her power and her profession. She represents the hope, empowerment, strength, and courage that we wish for all victims and survivors of child abuse and sexual assault. Jessie is also a former USAF S.E.R.E. Specialist (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape.) She has felt a strong connection with wild places since her childhood. After the military, she pursued a BA in educational psychology, directed team-building courses, and worked in wilderness therapy for over a decade. A survivor of childhood sexual abuse and abandonment, Jessie now runs a school teaching global survival skills and finds the outdoors to be healing, even empowering and enjoys encouraging others to explore it safely and with confidence. Jessie has also appeared on the History Channel series, Alone, and recently produced a Master Class on Wilderness Survival.

“Surviving” by its definition means “Living.” - Jessie Krebs
