At 22 weeks of pregnancy with our daughter Harper, I was diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome. Our daughter's due date was supposed to be on March 10th, 2022. However, on November 4th, 2022 I was admitted to UNC Chapel Hill due to HELLP Syndrome and she was born 3 days later on November 7th, 2022. On this day our daughter gained her angel wings. 

In honor of Harper and her 6th month anniversary this month and it being Preeclampsia awareness month, my husband and I decided to make a team to represent her and to get more awareness out there about Preeclampsia/HELLP Syndrome. 

We can't thank family and friends enough for the continued love and support through this journey. We have family and friends who have also survived preeclampsia, including my mother, Ginny and my good friend, Jamie. Team Harper hopes that continued fundraising and research will help future mothers and babies have a healthier and safer life. We also hope one day that a cure can be found!
