My name is Courtney and I’m helping plan for the upcoming Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Chattanooga’s 4th Annual Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence 5k and One Mile Walk taking place Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Chattanooga State Community College from 9-11:30 a.m.
“Before she lost her battle with leukemia, Karen asked us to continue helping sick kids,” shared Phyllis Lawrence, Karen’s mother. “Our family has honored that request for 40 years by both raising funds and volunteering for causes near to her heart and ours. We are excited to continue her legacy with the Run4Kids in Memory of Karen.”
This wonderful event helps finance Chattanooga’s House which provides families with critically ill or injured children undergoing inpatient and outpatient treatment at nearby Chattanooga hospitals what they need most – each other.
Attendees can expect a fun, family-friendly event with timed and untimed race experiences as well as activities for children of all ages. We anticipate about 250 participants and volunteers this year; however, this event cannot be successful without support from our Chattanooga community as such I am calling on you for your help.
Whether it be $100 or $10,000 you will be a part of making sure sick children can be near the care they need with the family who loves them*.
