Hi, I'm Sky! I joined Veritas last year in November. Right now, I'm 13 and in 7th grade.
I do lots of extracurriculars, but my favourites are swimming and figure skating. In my free time, I like to hang out and talk with my friends. I also love the theatre! It's great to have a role in this year's play, Honk!
Here's a picture of me and my cat, Henry. He's so sweet - and he's practically a genius, mastering countless tricks.
My goal for this year's Run for the Future is to raise $500 for my school and have 20 donors in all. I hope you can help!
Veritas
One of the most important things Veritas taught me was to pick my battles, and get along with people who might not necessarily agree with me. There is a lot of diversity of thought in this school, and many people object to things I believe and that I know about myself. But this is a part of life, and there will always be people who disagree with you. I'm glad that Veritas taught me that.
In most subjects, Veritas has high academic diversity, which is one thing I like about the school. There are many different levels of most subjects you can take. When I was in public school, I felt like I was never in the right class. Now I feel challenged and accommodated. There are just a couple of subjects that need work in this diversity, though, like Spanish. But if you donate to our school, we will be able to pay for more classes and more diversity in these subjects, so that everyone learns at their own level.
THANK YOU!
