Hi, my name is Jayden and I am a 6th grader at Veritas. This is my 2nd year here, and I'm having a blast!
At this school, you are placed in a math and language level that is suitable for you, making the academics fairly challenging but not TOO challenging and not too easy. The teachers make class fun (for example, for Latin, Mr. Melton held the Latin Olympics which were a series of events to help us review what we had learned this year while playing some fun games) and exciting. They also value friendships a lot and focus on solving social problems. The homework isn't too hard, but I recommend that you pace yourself and have a good study strategy (go on Gohar's Guide on youtube if you want to find one that's suitable for you). Something else I enjoy about this school is that the teachers are very friendly and talk to you.
The students here are very kind and the personalities vary, adding some hot spice to the school. Because the school is so small, it allows you to make friends in a comfortable environment.
The musicals here are super fun and so are the specials, which are academically relieving and a chance to hang out with your friends.
If you go to a public middle school, this might excite you: THIS SCHOOL HAS RECESS! We have a fairly small playground but their are many activites you can engage in.
Regarding after school, there are a few enrichment classes such as Soap Carving and Flag Football, and it's cool because you meet people you usually don't meet in school hours.
This school has a STRONG emphasis on character and your relationship with God, and if you are a kid or a parent, I recommend this school if you or your kid is having a tough time at your school, mentally.
God is evident at this school in all we do- you can always find a connection to him.
Regarding outlook, this school is very nice and pretty clean. It's easy to navigate and looks inviting and comfortable.
After this school, I stopped swearing (often) and I think this school has had a very positive impact on my life.
Unfortunately, many students are being denied from this school, just because there isn't enough space. That is why we are raising money for a bigger campus with more opportunities for students.
