I'm Jessica Hendricks, owner, and photographer at Jessica Stone Hendricks Photography (or jshfoto), and have partnered with VBCF since 2019 to provide photos at some of their events. After my first day of shooting the 2023 Richmond Sole Stars photos, I decided to get in on the fun! I am proud to help VBCF raise funds for breast cancer as my mother and several close friends have all been diagnosed in the last few years. Thankfully they are all now cancer free!
I am the official photographer for theRichmond Kickers professional soccer team along with several youth soccer clubs and training programs in the Richmond area. I got my start inphotography when my sons (now 18 and 20 years old) both decided to be goalkeepers and I needed something to keep myself busy on the sidelines. Now I provide a full range of photography services (except for weddings and real estate listings) and have a small studio near Scott's Addition. My husband, Jason, and I have resided in Richmond since getting married in 1999.

What is a Sole Star?
The Sole Stars campaign engages leaders in our communities as representatives in the fight against breast cancer. During the month-long campaign, each Sole Star will raise or give a minimum of $1,000, which will be used to support the work of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF.) The money raised through the Richmond Sole Stars campaign will help pay for breast health services like diagnostic mammograms, MRIs, ultrasounds and biopsies for uninsured and underinsursed women in the greater Richmond region.
Sole (noun): the undersurface of a shoe; the sole is meant to provide footwear with the necessary support, giving traction and protection from the surfaces it will be in contact with.
Star (noun): a celebrated, prominent or distinguished person; synonym: VIP · (very) important person.
VBCF Sole Star (noun): a very important person providing support for our mission to eradicate breast cancer by raising awareness and funds in their community and providing traction for our mission; willing to have fun while wearing awesome pink shoes!!
