Name: Beth Hoel
Company: Branch Group
Title: Corporate Safety Manager
Goal: $1,050
Why I am Participating:
Everyone has experienced the effects breast cancer can have on not only the individual diagnosed and their family, co-workers, organizations they belong too and really anyone they may encounter. I have seen so many strong fighters in this battle and I want to do anything I can to help.
In my busy/crazy life, I am a mother of 2 beautiful and wonderful daughters and 1 amazing and talented son. When I’m not performing my daily duties as a Corporate Senior Safety Manager with Branch Group,
Inc., I enjoy teaching Zumba and Spin classes at Green Ridge Rec & Brambleton Centers. I also love seeing my son play his first year of soccer for his high school. Leisurely, I love to hike, kayak and bike. I am also the VP for a little organization, NAWIC National Association of Women in Construction. And I
serve on a great corporate charitable giving group, Branch Gives.
My grandmother passed away from breast cancer and I strive to see technology and medicine expand to find a cure. Please assist me in my goals to further the research and development of our already complex search for breast cancer to not take any of our loved ones and friends.

What is a Sole Star?
The Sole Stars campaign engages leaders in our communities as representatives in the fight against breast cancer. During the month-long campaign, each Sole Star will raise or give a minimum of $1,000, which will be used to support the work of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF.) The money raised through the Roanoke Sole Stars campaign will pay for breast health services like diagnostic mammograms, MRIs, ultrasounds and biopsies for uninsured and underinsured women in Southwest Virginia.
Sole (noun): the undersurface of a shoe; the sole is meant to provide footwear with the necessary support, giving traction and protection from the surfaces it will be in contact with.
