Racing to Support IRUSA's work for Refugees

Assalamu Alaikum!

My name is Maryam Rostoum and inshAllah, I will be running the NYC Marathon this November representing the NYC Muslim Running Club and Islamic Relief. I will be raising money for refugees who have been displaced from their homes due to conflict and violence.I am asking for your support to help me reach my fundraising goal of $3,000. Focus on Refugees

As of 2022, 100 million people have been forcibly displaced worldwide, 27.1 million of whom are refugees. Conflict, violence, and persecution are among the main reasons people are forced to flee their homes, and according to the UN Refugee Agency, we are currently witnessing the highest number of displacement ever recorded. Similar to most situations like this, children are the most affected, making up more than 40% of all refugees. 

Two thirds of people displaced across borders come from just five countries: Syria, Venezuela, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Myanmar. Thanks to support from donors like you, Islamic Relief is able to provide refugee aid to all five populations, both inside and outside of their respective countries.
