UNC Men's Rowing Needs Your help! As you may or may not know, I'm the proud Head Coach for the UNC Men's Rowing program. We're what I like to call a "Hybrid" program. Not entirely Club....not entirely Varsity. Sure, we train as much as Varsity programs, compete against varsity programs, and even beat varsity programs....but our guys still have to pay their own way for the honor to compete as Carolina Tarheels. We host our annual 24 hour Ergathon fundraiser to help cover some of our training and operational costs so we can keep our dues as low as possible while we keep rising through the ranks and turning heads on the race course. The good news is....we're not asking for a handout without putting in some good ole fashioned sweat equity. Our athletes and coxswains (and yes even yours truly) will row one of our ergs, in the middle of campus, for 24 hours straight. No breaks, no heat, no creature comforts, just an erg wheel spinning for a team on a mission. If you're able, we could really use some support and will be forever grateful for it! Also, new this year....you'll get to see your name on our social media page with any $50 donation, and your name on the wall in our erg room with any donation over $500.
