Hello all,   As you likely know, I am continuing my rowing career at UNC Men’s Rowing. Rowing is the oldest intercollegiate sport in the United States, and UNC is one of the best programs, competing at the American Collegiate Rowing Association championship.   UNC Men’s Rowing is a nonprofit and seasonal dues go toward covering coaches’ salaries, carbon-fiber boats, travel and training trips, and entry fees for races (called regattas). These dues don’t cover the cost of the program, so we have fundraisers throughout the year. This weekend (October 14th) is the Erg-A-Thon fundraiser in which we row one machine continuouslyfor 24 hours. I invite you to support me in this endeavor. Each rower is responsible for raising $575 to cover costs for our winter break training trip, spring break training trip, and entry fees for the spring.   After the Erg-A-Thon, we’re off to the second-largest regatta in the world, the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This will be my third time competing there and I’m hopeful of winning a medal in one or more of my events. I am really enjoying rowing and think that it will open many doors for me in the future. UNC is a great program and rowing is truly the ultimate team sport since the success of the boat depends on the dedication of each individual rower.    Please consider sponsoring at any level.
